Kale contains antioxidant nutrients helping counteract oxidative damage by free radicals in the body, and is low in calories and high in water content, making it a great addition to a weight loss diet.

Spinach is high in vitamin A which helps support your vision, keeping your eyes healthy, and contains plenty of iron, which makes red blood cells to carry oxygen around your body.

Broccoli provides plenty of vitamin K which improves bone health, and the vitamin  C content helps you look younger by fighting skin damage. On your next summer holiday apply the sun location and grab a broccoli shake!

Kiwi has a high potassium content which is linked to lowering blood pressure, and if your not the best snoozer, kiwi’s may improve the quality of your sleep, give them a try.

Edamame contains genistein which may improve lung functions if you are one of many that have asthma, like myself. Also as a good source of fiber, edamame helps keep your digestion system in working order.

Seaweed is a speciality in Japan and is high in magnesium which increases energy levels. The slimy stuff also contains a nutrient hard to find called iodine, helping to maintain a healthy thyroid.
